Emilia Haus is a junior and Senior Multimedia Editor. This is her second year on staff and she is looking forward to increasing multimedia coverage and publishing more creative videos. Aside from newspaper, Emilia enjoys listening to music, eating, watching movies and hanging out with friends.

On Dec. 13, Miami Palmetto Senior High hosted its annual Winter Festival in the courtyard. The festival featured various clubs, such as the French Honor Society, Italian Honor Society, Social Science Honor Society, Japanese Honor Society, and English Honor Society. It spread holiday cheer and allowed the clubs to have students visit their tables and participate in holiday activities, all while earning some sweet treats.

On Oct.14 Miami Palmetto Senior High hosted its annual college fair. The college fair is offered to students in and out of MPSH to display the opportunities different colleges have to offer and provide valuable information and advice. “It's shopping for freshmen, sophomores and certainly juniors to see, all right there’s 100 schools at this fair, there's 4000 in the country to get more information about the specifics and make connections with the representatives,” College Application Process advisor Linda Dwyer said.

On April 13, the Palmetto Girls Lacrosse team beat Lourdes 7-2 in the district final to take home the girls' first District Championship in history. Throughout the season and the final, the team displayed exceptional teamwork, resilience and a bond like no other. They will play on April 18 in the regionals game— a win or go home situation.

At the convention, students had the opportunity to learn from teachers nationwide on journalism topics from libel to ledes and more.
