With summer approaching and the temperatures rising, one cannot help but crave a refreshing, cold sweet treat. Looking for a healthy option to satisfy this craving, açai bowls are the perfect fix, with many nutritional benefits. In Miami, many local-based stores offer different kinds of bowls with various bases and toppings that are widely visited. Down below are some of the best recommendations for açai in Miami:

1. Ernie’s

Ernie’s, which recently opened in Pinecrest, has some of the best and most affordable açai bowls and smoothies. With açai that comes out of a frozen yogurt machine, Ernie’s takes a unique take on the açai bowl trend. With a variety of toppings including coconut sorbet and raspberry puree, Ernie’s offers bowls ranging in price from $12.50 to $18 in three sizes: small, regular and large.

The Panther recommends “The Automatic” and “La Diabla” bowls with extra granola ranging from $12.50 to $15.50 depending on size.

2. Sweet Blendz

Although Sweet Blendz has no official location, one can always find their bowls at the Pinecrest Farmers Market every Sunday. Typically, Sweet Blendz is always filled with a line of customers looking to purchase their iconic bowls. With a variety of bases including açai and mango and toppings including fruits and a variety of seeds, Sweet Blendz has a bowl for everyone and offers easy-to-make customizations.

The Panther recommends the “Amazon” and “Dragon” bowl for a light, but filling meal while walking around Pinecrest Gardens.

3. Raw South

A Miami classic, Raw South specializes in healthy and nutritious food options. With the option of eight açai bowls, Raw South offers a variety of bowls all topped with granola, fresh fruit and coconut shavings. For a 16 oz bowl priced at $10.50, Raw South offers an affordable option for a craving to be fulfilled.

The Panther recommends the “Passion Bowl” and the “Raspberry Bowl” which both offer a variety of different fruit toppings.

4. Pura Vida

With multiple locations around Miami, Pura Vida has become a go-to spot for açai bowls. Offering an all-day breakfast menu, customers can satisfy their craving for acai at any time of the day. Offering many vegan bowl options, Pura Vida has become a widely visited franchise for all customers.

Within the three acai bowls Pura Vida offers, The Panther recommends “The Signature” and “The Bali Crunch.”

5. Raw Jūce

Located in South Miami, Raw Jūce’s environmental friendliness and wide variety of bowl options have made it a popular choice for açai. The sustainability of their ingredients including the use of organic produce and biodegradable products creates a positive impact on both health and the environment. Amongst the plethora of acai bowls offered, it includes different bases such as açai, blue majik, pitaya, mango, green and protein bowls.

The Panther recommends the Açai Goji Berry or the Blue Ocean for a tropical and sweet taste.
