Takeoff of Migos Dead After Shooting In Houston

On Nov.1, rapper Kirshnik Khari Ball, also known as “Takeoff,” was reported dead, at the age of 28,  after a fight broke out in a bowling alley, resulting in a fatal gunshot wound. 

Takeoff and his uncle, Quavo – two-thirds of the rap group, Migos – were in Downtown Houston for Halloween when police responded to a shooting at 810 Billiards and Bowling around 2:40 a.m.The two were at a private party reported to consist of about 40 guests. 

According to the New York Times, Takeoff and Quavo were playing dice when the shots fired, hitting Takeoff; attendees of the party fled the scene. Quavo did not suffer any injuries in the incident and has not released a statement yet.

Two other victims were injured in the incident and transported by private vehicles to the hospital. The identities of these victims have not been released. 

Just hours prior to the shooting, Quavo and Takeoff released a new Halloween-themed music video under their duo “Unc & Phew” for their song “Messy.”
