Head to the school’s auditorium this Halloween for a spooky night, full of laughter. On Thursday, October 31, Palmetto’s very own Impawvisation will provide attendees with over 30 minutes of Halloween-themed improvisation games at no charge.

“We’ll probably go for Halloween-themed suggestions from the audience,” senior and Impawvisation President Jaylene Garcia said. “We will be wearing costumes. That way we’re also donating to united way.”

The games presented at the show will be decided on Tuesday. Some of last year’s games include Rant, Questions, and The Dating Game. In Rant, multiple players literally rant about a selected topic while being conducted by another performer.

“The level of intensity of the actors’ act depends on the height of [the composer’s] finger,” sophomore Elizabeth Cuenca said.

In Questions, players must answer questions based on a selected topic. In The Dating Game, the audience suggests different personalities for three people to take on. Through the asking of questions to the actors, a fourth person guesses who they are portraying.

Along with the decision of the games played, the participating actors must be decided on before the show. Board members already have a spot on the team, leaving four to five positions open for audition. The auditions will be held either Monday, October 21, or Tuesday, October 22.

“I’m looking forward to the audience’s reactions,” Garcia said. “I love the feeling after hearing a crowd laugh. It’s what I love to do the most.”
