Celebrating the Holidays with Zoo Lights Miami

On Nov. 26, Zoo Miami lit up the night once again with its annual holiday lights exhibit. Lasting from 6:30 to 10:00 p.m. on select nights until Dec. 30, the event features an ample array of animal-shaped lights and exhibits, extending throughout the wildlife park.

The occasion presents over a million brilliant, multicolored tree lights and a 26-foot-tall LED holiday tree. The event also offers seven-minute Snowman’s River Boat Rides available for a $5 per person fee. In addition, Santa Claus appearances, live animal encounters, arts and crafts and holiday gift shopping are available to families and guests.

Guests are also encouraged to participate in the themed evenings, such as “Ugly Sweater Nights,” “PJ & Onesie Nights” and “Santa & Elf Look-A-like Nights.” The schedule is as follows:

Nov. 26 & 27 – PJ & Onesie Nights:

Dress comfy and come in your holiday pajamas/snuggies/onesies.

Dec. 3 & 4 –  Ugly Sweater Nights:

Show off your ugly holiday sweaters.

Dec. 10 & 11 – Galactic Nights:

Dress like your favorite Star Wars, Star Trek or Guardians of the Galaxy characters.

Dec. 17 & 18 – Santa & Elf Look-A-Like Nights:

Dress up like Santa, Mrs. Claus or their helpful elves.

Dec. 19 & 22 – Superhero Nights:

Always wanted to dress up like a superhero? Well, this is your chance!

Dec. 23 & 26 – PJ & Onesie Nights:

Dress comfy and come in your holiday pajamas/snuggies/onesies.

Dec. 27 & 30 – Ugly Sweater Nights:

Show off your ugly holiday sweaters.

General admission is $23.95 per adult and $20.95 per child ages 3 to 12 (Zoo Miami members save $3 per ticket). This comes with complimentary entertainment, a tree lighting ceremony and hot cocoa and cookie packages. Guests must purchase tickets prior to attendance because of limited capacity.
