Senior Picnic: $20. Grad Night: $120. Prom: $70. Cap and Gown: $21. Creating the best times with your high school friends and imprinting memories that will forever last a lifetime: priceless.
Senior year is the one year that most students remember the most from high school. It is the climax of high school because of the numerous events that takes place throughout senior year. Senior year can be considered one of the most stressful as well due to college applications. But what better way to eliminate all of the stress than to just sit back and relax during the various events?
Senior year’s numerous events include senior breakfast, football games, homecoming, Grad Nite, Prom, Winter Formal, and graduation. These events are given to us to reward us for our hard work throughout our four years of high school. And you better believe we deserve them!
But of course one cannot mention these events without thinking about a big factor: the cash flow. Senior year is the most expensive year in high school. We seniors have to either dig into our wallets or beg our parents for the big bucks. But the question isn’t always how much is this going to cost me; rather, is this really worth it? Heck yeah it is!
Senior year is an experience that you can never relive; it defines our teenage years. When we were in elementary school, Pokémon dominated our lives. Middle school was overpowered by hormones and squeaky voices. It seems safe to say that senior events such as Grad Nite, Prom, and graduation will be some of the most memorable experiences of high school.
I am willing to give up some of my money (or my parents’ money, I should say) in order to have a memorable experience with my friends. This is the last year to spend time with friends before they go off to college, and seniors should take advantage of every opportunity to enjoy themselves throughout the school year.
Senior year is the last year with your friends. It’s the last year for high school memories. And it’s the last time you are a student in these hallways. So whether you go to every event or don’t spend a single penny, just make sure that you remember your senior year, because it is definitely worth it.
