Introducing Disney’s Galactic Starcruiser Hotel

On Tuesday, Mar. 1, 2022 Disney’s highly anticipated Galactic Starcruiser Hotel opened, offering guests an immersive two-day experience starting at prices of $4,809 per night. The hotel offers guests the chance to experience life “in space” aboard the ship in which they can cosplay as and meet iconic characters from the Star Wars universe.

Each cabin and suite on the Galactic Starcruiser comes equipped with basic hotel amenities such as a mini-refrigerator, hairdryer, safe, landline phone and shower spa products. However, a distinguishing feature of each room is its interactive television set and the artificially intelligent droid, D3-O9, that comes with it. The droid responds to speech and can perform tasks that range from helping guests make dinner reservations to cheering them on throughout their journey to becoming Jedi.

Aboard the Galactic Starcruiser, guests can choose from an array of activities that include lightsaber training, sabacc tournaments and droid racing competitions. Guests’ itineraries may also include story moments that prompt them to hide a stowaway for the Resistance or arrange to steal a ship from the First Order, further immersing each guest into the Star Wars universe.

With so many on-board activities, some may think that guests will never want to leave the ship during the duration of their stay. However, guests are not required to remain aboard, as admission to the Starcruiser includes a planetary excursion to Batuu, the planet that makes up Disney’s Star Wars-themed land, Galaxy’s Edge. Located in Hollywood Studios, guests will be taken to the land on transport shuttles so as not to break the illusion. At this land, guests can go on rides and get some fresh air outside the ship. Partaking in excursions, such as riding Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run can help complete each guest’s star wars experience, as they are able to access more thrill-seeking excursions that are not available aboard the ship.

As guests get hungry throughout the day, they will find many dining options available. During their first day, guests can dine at the Crown of Corellia Dining Room during which a live singer in full alien regalia performs as customers eat their meal. During the second day, guests can enjoy courses from the Taste Around the Galaxy showcase inspired by the geography and environments of planets famous in the Star Wars universe. Guests can eat film-famous dishes such as Bubo Wamba Family Farms blue milk during the breakfast and lunch buffets.

Overall, the Galactic Starcruiser Hotel offers a once-in-a-lifetime experience for any Star Wars fan who wishes to truly immerse themselves in their favorite universe.
