Feb. 10 marked the day of Super Bowl LIX, where the Philadelphia Eagles faced the Kansas City Chiefs in a heated, shocking outcome. The Kansas City Chiefs sought to win their third Super Bowl in a row, led by star quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Meanwhile, the Eagles were out for revenge, after losing to the Chiefs in the Super Bowl in 2023. What seemed like it would be a very intense Super Bowl game quickly turned into one dominated by the Eagles. Mahomes was expected to be the anchor of the Chiefs offense that has produced throughout the season, but by watching the game it was evident, Mahomes could not get going and neither could the Chiefs’ offense. The Eagles dominated every aspect of the field, especially with a defense of first-year rookies. By far the most notable play of the Super Bowl was when Eagle’s rookie Cornerback Cooper Dejean intercepted a pass thrown by Mahomes, and took it straight to the endzone for an Eagles touchdown.
