On Apr. 1,  Axios broke the news that White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki has entered into a series of negotiations with television network MSNBC in preparation for her exit from the White House next month.

Having previously worked in both the public and private sector fields, Psaki has experience as a CNN political commentator and previously, a White House Communications Director during the Obama administration, as well as having served as a State Department official.

Psaki has not signed any contracts with any networks during her time serving President Biden. This comes in compliance with government ethics rules and regulations determining the outside private sector work opportunities a public servant can explore while holding office.

Both MSNBC and the White House have not released any formal statements on Psaki’s alleged upcoming exit and place of work. As a result, the White House has not announced any plans for whom they plan her predecessor to be.
