The new magic of Marvel: The Marvel Experience

Climb like Spiderman or crawl through lasers with Black Widow as part of your training as a Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division (S.H.I.E.L.D) recruit  to help save the world with Marvel’s greatest heroes. Join Captain America, She-Hulk or even Iron Man as you journey through the seven super domes that together make up the The Marvel Experience (TMX).  Step into “Hyper-Reality” at The Marvel Experience, an interactive traveling theme-park that transports recruits into a never-before-seen world guided by Marvel’s heroes as it tours all around the United States.

The Marvel Experience made its debut at the World Premiere at Dallas, Texas’ Cotton Bowl on January 15, 2015. With seven mega domes, the largest one at over 20,000 square feet, TMX transports recruits through a multi-step training simulation with 3D virtual target practice, rock climbing, virtual flight simulation and a laser maze. Guests, also referred to as recruits, get to experience a day-in-the-life of a Marvel superhero as they interact with the heroes themselves through the help of the latest technology.

“We’ve created the world’s first and only 360 degree stereoscopic three-dimensional dome.” Hero Ventures’ (the company behind TMX) Chief Executive Officer Rick Licht said.

After a recruit has completed their training they move into a true version of Hyper-Reality, an experience like no other, transporting recruits straight into battle, making it come to life from any angle with the use of special 3D-glasses. Another dome contains a 4D experience ride, in which a recruit, sitting in a chair, gazes up at a movie screen and becomes transported into a virtual universe which one can not only see but feel as the chair moves with the scene, immersing the recruit straight in battle.  Once the training adventure ends, recruits can head into the gift shop to have an original miniature three-dimensional statue of themselves standing with a favorite Marvel Super Hero.

“When I was a kid my folks took my sister and me to Disneyland and it was an incredible experience.  I still remember it like it was yesterday. I wanted to do this for everybody else by creating an experience that would be not just memorable but unforgettable” Licht said.

Anyone young or old can become a S.H.I.E.L.D. recruit, as The Marvel Experience creates memories for all willing to participate while it travels the country over the next 18 months prior to heading overseas.

“If you’ve ever enjoyed a Marvel Movie, then The Marvel Experience will blow you away.” Licht said.
