‘Setting Up’ For the New Season

The varsity and junior varsity boys volleyball teams took the court on Monday, Feb. 22 for the Blue and White game. The scrimmage, played at Mckinney Court, lasted for two 25 point sets. The varsity team won both sets 25-11 and 25-7. Following the varsity win, the teams joined for an intrasquad game. The match reached its conclusion after a tense set, in which one of the teams prevailed 26-24, after a back-and-forth match that was tied 24-24.
“It was a great way of starting off the season so that the varsity and junior varsity team could build a bond,” sophomore and junior varsity player Dylan Hernandez said.
After the match, players, families and friends reminisced while eating Cuban cuisine for dinner from Pinecrest Bakery catering.
