Health Advisory Lifted on Palm Beach Beaches

On March 28, the Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach County lifted advisories for high bacterial levels in seven Palm Beach beaches. Earlier, on March 27, the FDOH issued water quality advisories against any water activities due to the increased risk of illness.

Testing conducted on March 27 indicated that the water quality at the beaches all showed an acceptable level of Enterococcus bacteria. Previous testing conducted on March 25 showed that the water quality did not meet the recreational water quality for Enterococcus bacteria recommended by the FDOH. Sampling showed that the level of bacteria exceeds the level established by state guidelines.

Beaches listed in the advisory were:

Carlin Park in Jupiter, FL

Riviera Beach in Riviera Beach, FL

Phil Foster Park in Riviera Beach, FL

Lake Worth – Kreusler in Lake Worth, FL

Ocean Inlet Park in Ocean Ridge, FL

Sandoway-Delray Beach in Delray Beach, FL

Spanish River in Boca Raton, FL
