Champions League Final is Set

The Champions League final is planned for June 10 with F.C. Internazionale Milano (or Inter Milan) versus Manchester City F.C. The Champions League — a tournament composed of the top four clubs from around the world from the previous season to compete to win the matches. The final could be compared with the Super Bowl in American football terms. Inter Milan reached the final after beating FC Porto 1-0 aggregate, then S.L. Benfica on aggregate 5-3 and finally defeating A.C. Milan on May 16, 3-0 total.

Many fans worldwide see it as extremely lucky as Porto and Benfica were looked at as much weaker teams in this tournament. Star player for A.C. Milan Rafael Leão was out, injured for the first leg against Inter Milan, another reason fans think Inter Milan’s road to the final was somewhat lucky. On the other hand, Man City faced more difficulties on the road to the finals as they beat RB Leipzig 8-1 on aggregate, FC Bayern Munich 4-1 on aggregate and finally, on May 17, defeating Real Madrid CF 5-1 on aggregate. This win was revenge for Man City, as in the semifinals last Champions League, Man City was expected to advance when suddenly Rodrygo subbed in and scored twice in two minutes; shortly after the shocking turn of events Karim Benzema scored a goal off a penalty four minutes later to put Real through to the finals.

While both teams had different roads to the finals, fans have made it clear that Man City are hungry to win their first-ever Champions League title against an Inter Milan team — with City heavily favored to win.
