Ultra Survival Kit

  1. PORTABLE CHARGER

It is easy to get lost in crowded places. A charged phone is essential and after a long day, your phone is not guaranteed to stay charged. The combination of texting, taking pictures and capturing videos is inevitably going to drain your battery. This year, Ultra Music Festival (UMF) is selling portable chargers at the merchandise store.

  1. CAMELBAK

Instead of wasting your money on countless water bottles, bring a CamelBak. Hours of standing up and dancing is bound to dehydrate you. You can fill up the water pouch at any water fountain and avoid spending your money on water, as well as having to leave a stage for water.

  1. SUNGLASSES

Before the festival, stop by CVS, Pacsun or even a nearby dollar store to pick up an inexpensive pair of glasses. Refrain from bringing your nice Versace or Ray-Ban sunglasses, seeing as there is a high chance you will end up losing them. During the day these will come in handy; Miami weather can be unbearable at times.

  1. FANNY PACK

If you do not have a CamelBak, this is a close second. Ultra does not allow many bags into the festival, however, they do allow fanny packs. This way you will be able to conveniently carry around essentials and avoid losing any of your personal belongings.

  1. ULTRA APP DOWNLOADED

The Ultra 2016 app is available for androids and iPhones. On the app, you are able to see the lineup broken down by day. The app also allows for you to make a schedule before the event so you are not wasting time debating which stages to go to. There is also a map that shows you where you are in comparison to water refill stations, bathrooms, food, ATM machines and more. This feature, along with many others, ensures you have the smoothest UMF experience possible.

  1. SUNSCREEN

Ultra is conveniently located in sunny South Florida. Most stages are not covered by a tent, so you are most likely going to get sunburned. A sunburn isn’t the best souvenir to bring back from UMF!

    7.   YOUR TICKET

This may seem obvious, but you do not want to be that one person who travels all the way to Bayfront Park only to realize you left your ticket at home. Before you leave your house, double check you have your ticket with you in a safe place.

  1. ID

UMF is an 18+ event, therefore, your ID will be checked before you are able to enter. Be sure to bring your ID so you are not denied at the door; you will not be let in without it. Acceptable forms of identification include a valid US passport or a valid US driver’s license.

    9.   GUM

Considering Ultra is an all-day event and you will probably be getting a bite to eat, you are going to want to have gum with you. You will not have access to your toothbrush, so this is your best option for having minty fresh breath and distracting you from a growling stomach.

  1. HAND SANITIZER

Do not depend on the infamous Ultra portable restrooms to have luxurious sinks with soap; you will be let down. You will most likely find yourself wishing you had brought hand sanitizer, especially considering you will be wedged between countless sweaty people throughout the day.
