Mr. Panther 2019 Recap

February 10, 2019

Thirty-three contestants took the auditorium stage Thursday to compete in the annual Mr. Panther competition. The pageant features male contestants representing different clubs and honor societies at Palmetto, and always draws a huge crowd. Contestants spend 17 weeks practicing and learning various dances with Variations for the Television Production fundraiser each year.

This year, the program featured a panel of administrative judges from Palmetto, including Principal Victoria Dobbs and Activities Director Elizabeth Valero. The judging was based on ticket sales, crowd enthusiasm and talent.

Mr. Panther has consistently sold out year after year, making it a very effective fundraiser for TVP. It also gives TVP the chance to show off their editing and videography skills through the different videos of contestant interviews that air throughout the night.
