To start off the year on a positive note, and introduce those who didn’t know about the group, the “Impawvisation” Club had a welcome back show Thursday, September 1.
The new club president, Nathan Harris, has hopes to change policies for Impawv this year.
“Our shows will now be in the library,” Harris said, “It’s more intimate.”
Audience members agreed. During the show the audience quickly became involved, yelling out suggestions when asked and volunteering for games that required an audience member to come up and be a part of the show.
The show had a solid turnout, which in turn yielded a substantial amount of laughter.
“It was ridiculously funny, as always,” sophomore Maddie Denaro said.
During the Impawv show, the cast played games that required them to think on their feet. One game was “Bibbidi Bibbidi,” which requires the members of the cast to find out details of a murder, suggested by the audience to the first member. They then must explain the details to the next member using only the word “Bibbidi.” The misunderstandings that take place make this game enjoyable for students to watch.
“Our first show was a short one,” said Harris. “I’m excited for when we do the bigger shows with a full cast.”
