The ending of an era has finally come. As fans sadly said goodbye to the HBO comedy “Entourage,” they remembered Vinny’s cocky yet humble attitude, Eric’s heart throbbing Sloan, and Ari’s business crazed life, along with the rest of the fun-filled cast which captured the attention of fans for eight solid seasons. The series’ finale took place on September 11 with an audience of 2.6 million fans watching.
The show consisted of these young men’s lives and how they succeeded in their careers and friendships. The show had a total of 96 episodes since its premiere in 2004, all of which were filled with thrilling and changing scenarios, such as Eric’s engagement to Vinny’s drug addiction. People all over the world managed to connect with the issues and tribulations that the characters went though as they watched them grow each week.
“I liked the show from the beginning because it was a bunch of young guys who became very successful and are living wealthy lives,” senior Nicholas Waddell said. “My favorite character was Ari Gold. His success and working as a top agent in L.A made me want to have that job in the future.”
For many fans, the finale of the show ended on a good note, closing up any loose ends of the plot and leaving them pleased with the characters’ fates.
“I loved the ending. All the characters were at peace and they had improved and grown within themselves,” senior George Leone said.
To others the show will hopefully lead to something bigger, as they felt here remained a few lingering issues. This led to the question of whether there will be a movie.
“I hope that they create a movie to finish all the last details of the show, kind of how they created the ‘Sex and the City’ movies and those were successful,” Waddell said.
Over the years, people have dedicated their Sunday nights to sitting on a couch and being taken away from a show with a good plot, captivating characters and an ending fit for a Hollywood movie.
