The clock is ticking. Miami Dolphins Head Coach Tony Sparano may be facing the biggest week of his coaching career. The Dolphins are off to a slow 0-2 start, losing two big games to both their division rivals, the Patriots and Texans. Many fans are disappointed for the slow start due to all the hype leading up to this season with the acquisition of star running back Reggie Bush.
“I am disappointed in the front office for not having fired Sparano yet and hiring a more qualified coach,” junior Max Pallot said.
With the dolphins going into week 3, all eyes will be on Coach Sparano, as the team faces the talented Cleveland Browns, who just came off a huge win over the Indianapolis Colts. Reggie Bush, who did not play as well as expected last weekend, is looking to bounce back to save his Coach’s job.
The passing game has been the Dolphins only strong point with Marshall and Bess, combining for over 350 yards as a combo in the first two games. The front office has been looking into hiring a new head coach, such as Jim Harbaugh or John Gruden.
“Sparano has a strong and enthusiastic personality that I feel that dolphins fans will miss, but the point is he couldn’t get the ultimate job done, which is winning,” junior Sean Cortney said.
Jeff Ireland has put a lot of confidence in Coach Sparano but he thinks he has had numerous opportunities to have success and could not find the right formula to get the W’s on the board. It is not known how the team will react with a new hiring during the season but it will cause some disturbance. It is not a done deal; all will be determined on Sunday as the Dolphins play the Browns. The players hold Tony Sparano’s fate in their hands.
